Spiral Design Lighthouse Porcelain Limoges Box

A lighthouse wrapped in a spiral design stands tall on this porcelain box, keeping watch over an imaginary rocky shore. Shaped and painted by hand in Limoges, France, this Limoges lighthouse brings a coastal landmark indoors.

Keeper of the Light

Lighthouses stand for safe passage, steady guidance and the quiet strength of those who keep the lamp lit. The spiral pattern, like the famous striped towers of the Atlantic coast, makes this one easy to recognize. It is a symbol that speaks to sailors and landlubbers alike.

Along the Coast Road

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France

Guiding Lights at Home

Set it on a beach house mantel, a window ledge overlooking the water, or a bookshelf beside a stack of maritime histories. It is a thoughtful present for a mentor, a retiring Coast Guard officer, a new homeowner on the coast, or a friend who collects lighthouse postcards from every trip.

Many collectors pick a lighthouse as a thank you to someone who helped them find their way, which gives this piece a meaning beyond the seaside.
